2 days in a row!!!!!

Wow, I can actually post something on my blog 2 days in a row. That is so cool! Tonight is another wonderful Night. I picked up Kimi from work, went to the bank, went to Walmart and got home by 5:00. So now I am on here doing a few things and chilling tonight.

SO I had my phone interview last night for the National Education Training I applied for.
IT WENT WONDERFUL!!! I was so excited to be talking to them. It was a conference call with like 5 other people on the phone with me at the same time. They asked me like 6 different questions and I answered them as best I could. I was not Nervous at all. I was very excited and I told them all about the work I do with the students, and the work I do with the State Union, and they wanted to know more about me. I had a good conversation with them. They were very pleased with my answers and what I had to say and they said they would make their decision on May 7th and notify me if I am chosen to go. There are thousands of people who apply for this training and only 20 get picked out of the whole COUNTRY. So I may get picked to be part of this group of 20 people. IF I get picked, I will be going to Minneapolis Minnesota, Washington DC, and Los Vegas Nevada for a whole week at each location for training. I am so excited. So from now till May 7th I will be on pins and needles waiting to hear back from them. SO I will let you all know when I know something.

I also forgot to mention that it has been 9 months since I have had my surgery. It was 9 months on Sunday. AND I FEEL FANTASTIC!!!! I FEEL AMAZING. I have to post pictures of me on here as soon as I can. I can probably get it done tomorrow. I have not taken pictures yet. And I also have to post pictures of my vacation to my Gram's house in NC when I went over Spring Break. So look for pictures from me on here real soon when I get them up here. ok. HOPEFULLY it will be tomorrow. I wrote enough on here today already.

Home for a Change

This is has got to be one of the coolest days I have had in like over a month. I had NO meetings, NO appointments, NO errands to run, NOTHING TO DO after work today. I actually got to COME STRAIGHT home after school. That like NEVER happens. And now that I got home I have ALL this time to do stuff around that house that I usually have to rush around to do because it gets so late so fast when you have a million things to do. So I was able to be home by 3:30. I already got a load of laundry done, I got dinner planned and defrosting (pork chops), I got all the mail checked, I got the boys homework and papers done (well they did it, I just checked it), And it is ONLY 4:30. Dam this is going to be a wonderful night. I am on here for a few minutes typing minutes to a meeting we had last Thursday. Then I am going to cook dinner, have that Phone Interview I am waiting for, and then I will be done for the night. Can you believe it? This is like so cool. Something that RARELY EVER Happens in my life. So I might be able to actually watch some TV tonight. Another thing that RARELY EVER happens in my life (except American Idol and Dancing with the Stars), I MAKE TIME to watch them. So I am going to get off of my blog, type my minutes, and then get back to the things I have to do around the house so that I have time to relax and chill tonight cus tonight is going so good.

Sunday's Newsflash

Hello Everyone, It is 3:30 pm and I am still in my PJ's. I did not want to get dressed today. I had a lot to do around the house and I just did not feel like getting dressed. I feel a whole lot better today then I did yesterday. I was sick really bad and I just wanted to stay in bed. I took a shower before I went to bed thinking that that would help but it didn't. I watched a movie and was asleep by 8:00. But this morning I woke up and I feel much better. I don't feel 100% yet but at least I can clean the house and do the things that I need to do around the house. I had to clean, do mountains of laundry. I changed every one's sheets and blankets today so I have to wash all them. Then I had to pay some bills. Now I am on here doing stuff online so I thought I would update my blog since it has been a few days.
So you know Sunday is my weigh in day right. Well I did weigh in today and I think because I was sick all day yesterday and I didn't hardly eat anything. And because I am back home and back on my regular schedule of work and school and meetings and all. I have lost 6 lbs this week. THAT IS A LOT in one week. So that now brings my total weight loss to 118 lbs. Can you believe it? Well I stayed the same last week, I didn't loose any the week before, so I guess it has caught up with itself and now I lost 6 lbs this week. I think part of it was because I was sick, throwing up and diarrhea. And I was so weak. Good thing I was home and not at work or any other place.
We didn't get to do anything for our anniversary. We will next week. I just didn't feel like going out today after being sick all day yesterday. If we had gone out to dinner I didn't want it to repeat on me and waste dinner out. So maybe next week we will go out. We'll see.

So other then that, I am excited about a process I am in the middle of. I applied for an NEA (National Education Association) training. Thousands of people apply for it and only 20 from the whole country get to do it. It is a training for people who want to become leaders with in their state unions. And I am really interested in our state union and I am really interested in this National Training. It is called ESP Leaders for Tomorrow. Well anyway, I applied and then just waited to see if I hear anything back from them. Well they emailed me on Friday and they want to Interview me over the phone on Monday. That means I am one of people they would like to learn more about and possibly be picked for the 20 people nationally to go to this training. It is a three week training, spread out through out the next school year, in various states in the country. So if I get chosen to do it, I will be going to a different state for a week three times next year. I am very excited. I am not nervous about the phone interview because I am just going to be myself and answer what they ask and see what happens from there. I will let everyone know when I know. It is exciting though.

And in July of this year I am going to San Diego, California for an NEA Conference. Over 10,000 people in the same room at the same time for the same reason I am. It is so EXCITING. I can not wait. I am counting down. ONLY 63 days left. LOL. I went last year for the very first time, it was held in Washington DC and it was Amazing!!! And now I get to do the same thing in California this time. How cool is that??

So that is about all that is going on with me this weekend. My phone interview is tomorrow so I will let everyone know how that goes. And I will post on here more in the week to come.

It's been a week since I been on here

I Can not believe it has been a week since I have been on here. I have been extremely BUSY this week. I had a meeting or an appointment every day this week along with working, and house stuff.

So TODAY IS MINE AND SAM'S ANNIVERSARY!!!!!!

We Were Married 17 Years Ago Today!!!!!!

We were going to be going to the Beach and spend some quality time together and go out to dinner. BUT I got home from a meeting I had this morning, and I just feel AWFUL. I am sick to my stomach and I just do not think I have the strength to do anything. I just want to lay down and rest and stay out of the bathroom. So, so much for having a great Anniversary. But maybe tomorrow we can go out and try and go down there then.



So maybe tomorrow along with my Sunday's Newsflash I will have something nice to post about our Anniversary. In the mean time, I am going to lay down now and try and stay out of the bathroom. : (

I'm Home & Sunday's Newsflash

Hello everyone, I am home from my long Spring Break Vacation. It was wonderful!!! I had a great time. First, I went with my friend Donna to visit her parents and her family in Upstate New York. It was great. I had a really good time. Then I came home on Sunday night at around 9:00. I did a load of laundry and repacked my stuff so that I can go to North Carolina the next morning. I was so excited to be going to North Carolina. I have not seen my Gram and all of my family down there in like 3 years. So I got up at 6:30 and I left at 7:30 am all by myself and drove 9 hours to North Carolina. When I got there, I saw my Aunt Karla and my Cousin Marleen first, they met me somewhere so I can follow them to Gram's House. WE all cried and hugged forever. It was so emotional. It has been so long since we seen each other. It was great. So we get to my Gram's house and she just cried for like what seemed like forever to finally see me. It was great. We talked for hours and spent a lot of much needed time catching up on things. She is definitely getting older. She is 81 years old now and she has slowed down so much. She can hardly do anything for herself anymore. It is just really bad. I tried talking her into going into one of those assisted living retirement homes but she refused to. She said she loves her little house and does not want to leave it. She falls A LOT and I am so scared for her. She is so off balance and slow and I am afraid something is going to happen to her. But she is so dam stubborn and she won't listen to anyone. She said she is fine, and if she doesn't want to move, we can't force her. It is a good thing that she has that service where she can push the button when she falls and they can come and help her. So she is going to just stay put in her house until she can no longer physically live there anymore or until they force her into a retirement home. She said she is set in her ways and she does not want anyone to tell her what she can and can not do. So besides my Gram, I got to visit with all of my aunts, uncles, and a lot of my cousins that live down there. It was great. One day, Gram wanted to take a nap and I wanted to get out of her house so bad (she keeps it like 80* all day long) I needed some air. So I called my cousin Andy and we went to a park with his little baby, Dylan. The park had this beautiful waterfalls. We sat there and talked for like 2 hours and reminisced about our childhood and how much we all have grown up and moved on to our own families. We had a very much needed relaxing time at the park. I really needed to get out and get some fresh air. It was great. Then one night, my Aunt Marie made a huge pot of homemade spaghetti and meatballs and neck bones. Something that we all grew up with. It was great. We had a house full of people there. We had fun. Oh and one day we went out to lunch, Me, Gram, my cousin Gail and her daughter Ashley went to Apple Bee's for lunch and Gram FELL going into the place. She didn't see the curb going up to the door and she didn't pick her foot up and she fell right on to her left side right onto the sidewalk. OH MY GOSH we thought she hit her head. Thank GOD she didn't hit her head. SHE was very badly bruised up though and shaken up. We got her in and took her to get cleaned up and all. But she did not want to leave. She said she came there to eat a nice lunch she was going to have a nice lunch. We tried talking her into going to the hospital but she would not go. She insisted she was ok. The black and blues on her were huge because she bruises so easy but other then that she was fine.
So the rest of the week, we played games, talked and hung out together, we visited family, I made a really really nice dinner one night for Gram, Aunt Karla and Marleen and I. It turned out really good. Then I left on Friday morning to come home and I took my cousin Marleen home with me. She lives in Pittsburgh which is closer to Delaware then North Carolina and her husband was going to pick her up so we talked him into coming to Delaware instead of North Carolina to pick her up. So we had a really great time in the van on the way home and I spent a lot of time showing her all around Dover. And she had so much fun. Then we made dinner and played games. We had a wonderful time. I wish she didn't have to go home so dam soon though. We had so much fun.
So now my vacation is over and I am going back to work tomorrow and quite frankly, I CAN NOT WAIT!!! I miss my kids and I miss all of my friends at work. I miss my busy life and my schedule that keeps me busy. AND I REALLY MISS MY KIDS. I can't wait to see them tomorrow again.

So you all know it is Sunday I do my weigh in on Sunday's. SO today I weighed myself and I had lost 1 lb this week. So my total weight loss as of today is now 112 lbs. I feel fantastic. Everyone down in North Carolina was amazed to see such a difference in me. It was great!!!!!

So before I write a book, I better get off of here now. When I get the pictures off my camera, I am going to post some from my vacation.

HELLO FROM UPSTATE NEW YORK!!!!!

HELLO all my friends. I got the chance to get on my friend's computer. I am here in UPSTATE New York. IT is absolutely beautiful here. The mountains are gorgeous. It is almost like the cut the mountain up to make the roads, houses, and businesses. Which I am sure the actually did YEARS ago. But it is so beautiful here. There are HUGE boulders all over the place. And to me coming from DELAWARE--one of the FLATTEST States in the country, this is something I have never seen before. Yeah I know my mom and dad live in WV and there are tons of mountains there. But this is just so much different then there. There are BOULDERS ALL OVER THE PLACE and these built up ROCK WALLS which Donna's dad said they are here from the civil war. These walls are ALL Over the place. IT is just amazing here and I love it. I said I want to come back and see it all when the trees and grass is all in bloom I know it will be gorgeous then. So she said we are going to come back here in June for a weekend. SO that will be nice.

I arranged a really nice surprise when I got here. When we were on our way here, I noticed how close we were to my dad who lives in NJ. I didn't realize how close we were going to be or else I would have called him earlier. So when we got here, I called my dad and told him I was here, it is only like 1 1/2 hour away from him. SO he got directions to where we are and he came up here to see me. IT was wonderful. He met my friend Donna and her mom and dad and her family and we all hung out for about 2 hours. IT was wonderful. Her mom made a cake and we had coffee and hung out and talked and had a wonderful time. IT was great. I missed him so much. IT was so NICE TO SEE HIM again. I told him I was going to NC This week and he told me to tell my Gram and all my family that he said hi. NOW i really can't wait. I took pictures and all but I have to unload them onto my computer and I don't have my computer here. So when I do, I am going to post pictures on here.
Well good bye from NEW YORK. I am getting off of here now. If I get the chance I will post while I am in NORTH CAROLINA this week some time.

YEA!!!! SPRING BREAK HAS BEGUN!!!!!!!

YEAH!!!! I am so happy. Spring Break has officially begun this afternoon. Now I am off of work until Monday, April 20. I am so excited. I need a vacation so dam bad. I need a break from my co workers and from getting up early in the morning.
So I am leaving around 9:30 tomorrow morning to go with my Friend Donna and her family to upstate New York. Then coming home on Sunday. Then leaving on Monday around 9:00 to go to North Carolina ALL BY MYSELF. I am so excited. I will be bringing my ipod and my speakers and jammin the whole way down there. It is about a 8 1/2 hours drive. So I will be tired. But it will all be worth it. Then I am not coming home until Saturday.
I just got back from the grocery store. I bought all kinds of food for the boys and Sam to eat and fix them self while I am not here. I'm sure when I get back there will be no food left in the whole house.
So anyway, I'm not sure when I will have the chance to get back online again cus my Gram does not have a computer. But if I get the chance while I am down there, I will be sure to blog and tell everyone how my week is going.

ONLY 2 More DAYS!!!!

Yes, I can do it. We only have 2 more days this week until our Spring BREAK. Two more days to deal with the catty, crazy women we all work with. Two more days of waking up early to go to work by 7:15 am. And Two more days with my kids and Sam before I have the chance to be alone and have some relaxing time by myself and my family. I am leaving on Friday morning to go to NY and then on Monday I am going to NC ALL BY MYSELF FOR A WHOLE WEEK!!!!! CAN YOU TELL THAT I AM EXCITED AND I CAN'T WAIT. I know as soon as we start our spring break, it will go by so dam fast. But at least I will be having fun, relaxing, and visiting my family in NC.

CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!! Only 2 more works days. I CAN DO IT!!!!!

YES I WILL MISS MY KIDS BUT EVERY PERSON NEEDS A BREAK SOMETIMES.

Sunday's Newsflash!!!!!

Hooorrraayyy It is Sunday again. ONE of the Very Few Days that I actually get the chance to Post something on my blog. My weigh in Day. My day to update everyone on my weight loss journey. My day to recap the week. And my day to tell you all about the week ahead.
Well first of all, My name is Patti BUSY. LOL. I have been so busy. But you know I like to stay busy. Being the President of my local union has been very busy lately because the Governor of Delaware has proposed an 8% salary cut on ALL state employees and that really stinks. We make below poverty level salaries as it is and now he wants to cut it even more. WELL DSEA, our state union, is not too happy about it at all and we are going to be lobbying at the legislative hall to tell them not to vote in favor of this proposal. We are going to be telling them how much an 8% salary cut would mean to us. So I have been gathering people together in my local union to help with this effort and also answering and helping some very worried people. So I have been busy with union stuff. But you all know I like doing that kind of stuff.
As for work, I can't wait for Spring Break. Spring Break starts this Thursday. Two reasons why I can't wait for Spring Break. The first reason is some of the staff. I need a break from some of the staff. You know dam well how hard it is to have several women working together day in and day out all day long. How catty and crazy it gets. We are all getting on each other's nerves. We are all ready for a break. The second reason I can't wait is I am going to be traveling the WHOLE Spring Break. On Friday morning, I am going with my friend Donna to her parents house in upstate New York for Easter with her family. I will be going alone, my kids and Sam will be staying home. Sam has to work and my boys don't want to go. And then we are coming home on Sunday night. Then on Monday, I am going to visit my GRAM in North Carolina. I can NOT wait to see her. She misses me so much and I am going alone. Sam has to work and the boys would be so dam bored at Gram's house. If you know my Gram, you know what I am talking about. I will be down there the whole week. I am coming home on Saturday. AND MY favorite cousin will be down there at the same time as I am. My cousin Marlene is going down there too. She lives in PA. We are planning to spend some really fun and quality time together. We have been talking every day since we decided to come down there. And now we are getting so excited about it. I can't wait to see her. Also we will be able to see all of our other family members that live down there. We have a lot of family that lives in North Carolina. So although I will miss my students greatly while we are on Spring Break, I am so looking forward to the break. Time by myself and my family.
AND now for my Weight loss update. As you know or if you have been keeping up with my blog I have stayed the same or even gained a lb or two in the last two weeks. My body was trying to catch up with all that is going on so fast. So Today this week lost 3 lbs, which brings my total now up to 111 lbs. YEP you read that right 111 (One Hundred and Eleven LBS). I have lost. I feel amazing, incredible, alive, and wonderful. I go to the Doctor again the end of this month for my 9 month check up. I know they are going say that I am doing fantastic. I still am very healthy. So today, I had to go through my clothes again. I just have so many clothes I can't wear anymore because they are just way to big for me. I have some friends that have been giving me some clothes so I had to switch out clothes.
So besides my weight loss and switching clothes, we all did some major spring cleaning in our house today. I had everyone in this house working. Sam even scrubbed the shower, and our bathroom today, WITHOUT EVEN ASKING HIM TO DO THAT!! That was amazing in itself. The boys cleaned their rooms and got rid of toys and things that were broken and missing pieces. Kimi went through all of her stuff and reorganized it. WE were all busy today. It took most of the day to do it. But our house looks wonderful and smells nice and clean. The next time we clean it will be time to wash the windows. Something I HATE to do but they need to be done badly.
So that is my day and week in a nut shell. This week coming I have 2 meetings and a lobbying day to do. Then we are off on Friday and our Spring Break starts. So we only have a 4 day work week this week. We can handle that.
